Broken piece of slate adze.

This is a piece of what I'm guessing to be a broken piece of a broken slate adze...It would have been a fairly large wood working tool...it was found on my Archaic site..notice the strike marks on the face of it..mjmView attachment 1602045

I dont see an adz.

Can you see any peck marks and polishing from the manufacture or use?

In what context was this found? Have you found other slate relics in the field?
