Broken medical device or implant?


Anybody know what this is...I know it's from a medical device for an implant...but not sure what...any help would be a great help...thx db

If it was implanted what was it implanted in and how was it outplanted llol

Where was it found? Was it broken when found? What is the material?

Medical implants and such prosthetics are often made of Titanium and are always serialized. If it is an implant device it may be a pin for a hip or shoulder. But, it wouldn't be painted.

Well my friend has colon cancer....part of the cancer treatment he has a drain tube that exits his rectum...he says by the exit of the drain tube he has a fistula....that fistula ha been irritated for a few months and wasn't able to heal....he has to shower 4 to 5 times a day to keep the area clean....when rinsing the fistula that fell out and hit the porsclen tub with a klank... once that item left his body he really started to feel a whole lot less discomfort in the passing days...trying to id this item to see if it is part of a medical implant..not sure why it would be falling out broke...for the past few months he has suffered a considerable amount of pain....
Sorry to all about the gory explanation...but he really wants to get to the bottom of this....so any help would be great...and yes it is some sort of metal...he is worried about the other missing part...he is still waiting to see his pc physician...I told him to go see a different dr...would this be from some sort of implant?

OMG...so your friend with cancer, who had HALF of an implanted medical device fall out of his body while bathing!? So just where is the OTHER half!? I'm glad to hear you say that his discomfort eased up though...Lord Almighty, that is scary! Hoping he gets the help he needs...Ddf.
