Well another, " What was this used for ?" found from an early 1860-1880's trash pit.
Village park built 1920 and at far end just covered over trash pit for an 1860 house.
Lots of coins front end from 1940's ball games and lots of relics from the first house.
Owner eventually moved across the road and built a new house 1880.
Not a farming area-- stones/rocks quite plentiful.
MEASURES 6 inches by 3 inches--looks like cast iron under the rust. Definitely broken and discarded---Any ideas and thank you in advance.
