Spent the day with Oddcoins today and thanks to some tips from him, and some advice from some other t-netters, I finally broke the no-silver-coin jinx that had me befuddled for over a year. While many are posting their numerous multiple strikes, I am proud to say, I found one, yes one, silver dime and got off the "schneid." It's a 1941-S Merc Dime. Minutes later, I was amazed to see a 1906 Indian cent pop up.
Sorry, no photos as I'm just not very skilled with digital photography. I later added a silver ring and a plated gold one as well, making today my very best detecting day ever. Thanks, Neil, and thanks to all for your encouragement! What a fantastically fun day!

Hey, that's awesome Mike. I've only found two mercs so far, but they were both very unexpected when I found them. Congrats on your first indian too. I really like finding those. They are neat. Keep it up and find more great stuff!

Congratulations! :thumbsup:I know how great it feels to get that first one, since my first was also this year. I predict many more in your future. :icon_sunny:

Congratulations!! Sounds like you had a good day indeed! Go find lots more goodies now!

Congrats on finally breaking your silver plateau. They will start coming sooner now. It took me over a year to get my first one, and then I found several before the snow flew last year. Off to a nice start this year, but only one silver so far.

Sounds like you found yourself a good area, if you are also finding gold rings. WTG

OH YEAH MIKE ~ You did great today! I had a blast! It was great witnessing you dig that 1941 silver Merc dime and the 1906 Indian Head cent! Your excitement was felt all around the world! GREAT SUCCESS ~ CONGRAT'S!! HIGH FIVE!!!

Wish I could have been there Mike, to see the look on your face when the silver poped out of the ground. We all know how discouraging it can be to hunt with others and not find silver when they do....... so congrats on great finds
Bring them to the club meeting HH Gold Nuggets
