Hello. I have been on a dry spell for the past couple months. I have started hunting a new site. It consists of cornfields about 40 acres square. There is a river that makes a 90 bend here, so 2 sides of the acreage are riverfront. I have never seen so many flakes, chips, brokes, cast offs, cobble, etc.. It mostly seems to be in a line parallel to the river about 30 yards from the water. I am puzzled as to why there are not more complete pieces? I hunted for 5 hours Sunday and finally found some. I would appreciate any feedback, thanks!
I am puzzled as to what this is. It has bifacial flaking.
Above right is the last in-situ. It is worked all the way around, both sides.
Random chips and brokes. This isn't even 1% of the amount of debris visible.
