British Humor - Monty Python, The Holy Grail

I grew up watching Monty Python on PBS in the 70's............twisted humor indeed! "I'm a lunberjack & Im OK." ;D
Benny Hill was good too, but my hormones were in control back then & all those beautiful women runnin' round in heels & lingerie might have had something to do with it. Maybe. :o

Yeah, Benny Hill was another one of those funny and sexy comedies :laughing7: I thought the funniest guy in the show was Jackie Wright, that bald, skinny little guy Benny was always repeatably tapping on the head and shoving off :laughing9: There was also another duo I loved and forgot their names :icon_scratch: And of course John Cleese in Fawlty Towers, or Rowan Atkins (Mr Bean) in Black Adder. You just had to understand the Brits and their sense of humor which was spot on

Spartacus........Can you remember if it was "Morcambe and Wise" they were also a funny pair. Am pleased to hear you enjoy our sense of humour.

Not really sure, they were two older men. had the funniest skit inside a general store when they asked for one thing and got another. Like asking for "O's" and was given hose, then asked for P's, the lady gave him the letters, but he wanted a tin of peas to eat. It just went on and I was :laughing9: my butt off.

My Mom did not appreciate Bennies humor at all & forbid me to watch it. I was bout 12 or 13 & couldnt get enough of it. Benny Hill was on every night at 11 on KTVU in Frisco, Mom was usualy in bed by then so I could sneak out & watch as long as I sat a foot away from the TV & kept the volume real low. She did catch me a few times & would get my Pop to "punish" me but Pop really enjoyed Bennies humor as well so it was never that bad! :D

Spartacus........I know who you mean :laughing7: and I clearly remember that skit as well, it's often shown here still, it's a classic piece. One of the men was called Ronnie Barker, he is sadly dead now, the other one was called Ronnie Corbett, and naturally their show was called "The two Ronnies" I feel sure you could still get this skit up on you tube. :laughing9:
