Bringin' in the sheep...........

Got a buddy at work who's been telling me about his dad who has a detector for months now. So he asks me if he can come hunt with me which realy surprised me, Ive told him I have a few detectors & he can use one. We met at a school after work & he brought his father along who has a nice Tesoro (the one with the digital readout), however he had only used it twice & didnt know how to use it! I turned my buddy loose with my Whites Quantum while his father & I played with the Tesoro(damn nice machine), I showed him how to ballance it, pinpoint etc. 1st target he hit was a quarter 4" deep & I think he was amazed! He was impressed with my pinpointer, will buy one very soon & told me he just hasnt hunted because he doesnt like to go alone. I think we will do a quite a few hunts together this spring & summer, I look forward to it. Oh, my buddy dug a couple cans, a water line, foil, couple dimes & a handfull of pennies..............all on his 1st hunt, with very little assistance from me! He is a natural & realy seemed to enjoy it, I realy hope he gets bit by the bug!

Good job!!!!! We need all the help we can getting those pesky pulltabs out of the ground.....

Well done AP. I'd much rather be in a circle of friends that love to detect than to fear competition. You have, once again, (unselfishly) shown you're appreciation for the hobby.

Very nice AP,,, sounds like you have found a few nice partners to hunt with...
I think it's always better to hunt with friend/s, then to just be out there walking around alone... Wish you all the best of luck...

Yes. I work with the son so I will make him cut the parts on his breaks & I'll weld em up fer him. I think the tools will mean more to him if he makes em himself, right? He is our assistant engineer & I believe that if he gets his soft, girl-like hands dirty it will build his character! lol
