I agree, with the caveat that EVERYTHING today is regulated by government and therefore politics.

The 18 acre server farm where all of of our posts and other correspondence is held is politics. The harassment you may receive from the IRS could be prompted by something held on those servers.

Lots of "anonymous tips" come out of that farm. Funny that they can know everything WE do, but they can't figure out who told them.

A new order was issued by current adminstration to pull records from April thru July of this year for Verizon customers.


" Signed by Judge Roger Vinson of the U.S. Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Court in April, the order requires the “production of certain call detail records,” and is set to expire on the evening of July 19, 2013. The order pertains to information including the phone numbers making and receiving the call, as well as the time the call was made and how long it lasts. It does not include the “name, address, or financial information of a subscriber or customer,” according to the order.

The order “does not require Verizon to produce telephony metadata for communications wholly originating and terminating in foreign countries,” according to the document.

Earlier on Wednesday, an Obama administration official defended the policy of gathering phone records from American citizens while neither confirming nor denying a report that the National Security Agency is collecting information regarding communications by Verizon customers."

In 2007 Sen. obama stated in a campaign speech that under his adminstration there would be no blanket spying on American citizens like was done by Bush adminstration. He went on to state this type of spying on American citizens violates their rights and freedoms.

The hacker community has known about these servers since about 2003. Remember when "lantern" and "carnivore" were exposed? Go back and read those articles and you'll see that this isn't the first time this has come to light. It's just the first time its been take seriously. My friends have been telling me about this for around 10 years.
