Baja California started "splitting" - in a big way, in August of 2009. Since then, many thousands of quakes have occurred in a generally northward direction. Including the Easter Day quake - a 7.2 temblor near Mexicali.
Scientists have been concerned that these "triggered" quakes could put pressure on the adjacent, over stressed San Andreas. Until now, there has been little evidence to show that the energy was being transferred to the San Andreas.
5 hours ago, a quake swarm started in Brawley California.
All I am saying is WATCH OUT CALIFORNIA. THIS is SCARY.
