found this odd item on a new park we searched last weekend, looked at Google Earth and up until 2006 it was a farm with an old barn/house in the same spot where I found the item in question. while cleaning it earlier one of the ends came off since the metal was pretty thin. non-magnetic, rings in the low 80s on my AT-Pro. tested negative for gold with acid test

left side has a ridge that seems like it could be popped off or unscrewed. right side came off during cleaning.

removable end?

first thing I thought of was a matchstick tube or a lipstick tube but the solid section inside is throwing me off
