✅ SOLVED Brass spout?

I found this at a federal campsite from the '62 Peninsula Campaign. It is brass with a tube and is 1" across. Any ideas what it is too? 0721131634a.jpg0721131634b.jpg0721131636.jpg
 

Your threaded brass top, is from a whale oil lamp. :icon_thumright:

The tube (originally straight and now bent) is where the wick extended up.

These small whale oil lamps, in the base container portion, were quite often made of thin rolled tin plated sheet iron (much like a tin can), and soldered at the seams. The oil container portion when made of tinned iron, is in most instances nearly rusted away, leaving only the threaded brass tops.
