I have scoured the internet and cannot find anything similar except maybe a 'kilt pin'.
Found by a friend in an area with coins from the 17th century. Made of brass (bronze?)....appears to be made of a cast-bronze mold of sorts but not sure. Help! Message_1598058982216.webp

Looks like an old clock hand to me.

Interesting find. There's a couple old late 19th to early 20th C dump sites around where I live in the corners of wheat fields that have been plowed over many years and there's seemingly typical pieces I find, such as lots of broken glass, china and crockery, old furniture pulls, casters and hinges, harmonica reeds, small bisque toys and marbles along with old clock parts, such as movement pieces. You could be in the era of a site that was once used as a place to dump no longer wanted items. If that is a clock hand the style of it looks really old to me. Might be a good place to uncover other old metal items to have fun figuring out what they once were.
