Here is a brass plate i found this morning. I think it is brass and it has some silver or chrome plating on it in places. It is bent almost in half so if anyone can help me with a good method to bend it back it would be apreciated. It says A L A on it with no other markings at all. It is about 4.5 to 5" long (guessing cause its bent) and about2.5" tall and 1/8" thick with four holes in it (top, bottom, left, right) I think the holes in the top and bottom were not there origionally. It has 2 rusty nails in these 2 holes still and it looks like someone bent it ripping it off of whatever it used to be attached to.

Thanks for any help.
