brass pieces of ?

These are the only pieces of whatever it was that were down there. Very decorative and thin in gauge. The shield-like piece has a little hanger that fits in the notch of the piece on left. Stuff in this yard has been pre-and post Civil War. Thank you for any ideas!

It looks like what is left over of a brass wall picture frame holder from the turn of the century (plus.) The ones below are not like yours, but the principle is the same. The top portion fit over the wall molding, and the hook at the bottom would hold the frame.
