Hey everyone. I found this at a historic hotel in NC. To me it look almost like a piece of a barrel of a gun. but being brass it's unlikely huh? It weighs 6.0 oz. The center has no threads it is smooth. Any ideas??

It almost reminds me of the brass bracket that would have held foot support bars in place at an old saloon/bar.

The object looks like it has a bearing race inside it that is a press fit. Probably part of a crank support for some kind of machinery? Monty

Thank you Monty. Im calling it solved
This piece of brass could be a broken part off of anything. ;D I dont mean to be difficult but it doesnt look like a bearing race. Not a gun barrel either. It looks like a machined end that broke off of a larger brass casting. A bolt probably went through it.
