Bob and I were out for awhile at a burn`t out old house today and besides the clad, Bob dug this up.

Do you think 1904 is the date of manufacture or a model number?

I`ve already checked out antique-padlocks.com
Nothing looks anything like it at this site.

In the reverse pic you can see the brass where i scraped it with my knife along the thin edge.

Very interesting lock. First I've seen like that.

I've got a buddy that makes assembled sculptures out of brass. He would love to have that.

I never thought of making sculptures with my old brass, but thats a great idea.

Thanks for your 2 cents old river.

Maybe it was the lock for container 1,904 ?

Thanks for looking everyone.

What is the chance of that? Bob digs a piece of a lock with the same year he was born!!! :o :o :o
:tongue3:
Just kidding Bob, I know it was really 1905.
