Has a "F" on one side and "19" on the other. Same size as a nickel.
Anyone know what it is?

Almost looks like one of those old golfball marker coins... you could hand stamp them.... they sold them blank.

But ?

They even still sell them.

This was found in an area that in 1903 was used for army training maneuvers and camps. I'm thinking its military because I've found rope tightness and indian head pennies close by. This is farm land so a pickers check is possible though. But to my knowledge it wasn't farmed commercially to where field hands were used. I've hunted this property for 10 years and never found anything like this.

Well rule out the golf then ... lol

Could be a bale seal. If so, there should be two holes in the end close together and maybe some rust in the holes. Most are smaller, but worth checking.

Its marked like a bale seal would be but this isnt lead and it dont have the holes around the edge. Its copper and the same thickness as a us penny.
