Found 2 of these diving in a fresh water lake last week. Its a narrow roller assembly with 4 rollers. Rollers are about 1/2" diameter riveted between a yoke-like formed part. Length and width is about 3+ inches x about 5/16 wide. the post has what looks like an adjustable height mechanism. looks too wimpy for a crew boat seat, which i have found parts for as well. Cant find a marking on it anywhere. All steel parts are gone a while ago, so probably pretty old... any ideas?

If it was in the water, could it be part of a sliding rowing seat? It reminds me of the seat rollers in the vintage rowing seats that were brass and were greased to slide the seat fore and aft.

Reminds me of a sliding door roller. But seems small for that...
