✅ SOLVED brass lid ID

Found this brass lid fragment. It has half of a carriage embossed on the lid. I could have had a horse drawn carriage but that part is gone.

I've been looking this thing over. The plate is the same or a little larger than a quart paint top maybe in between a quart and a gallon. in the right picture with the carriage turned up there was a hole there. If you look at the bottom, left picture bottom right thats where the whole is. After looking at the edge it seems to be made to fit flush. So instead of a lid it might be a plate, and with the hole could be for a handle or knob. What ever it is I like it and somewhere there is an id for it.

Agree. Fisher body tag. I believe those would be on the bottom of the door opening of your GM vehicles.

It's brass maybe eighth inch pretty heavy not something on a steel car and had a hole in the middle.

Fisher was my first thought. It's the only company I know using the Berlin Carriage as a logo. But it is too heavy and the wrong style carriage for a Fisher name plate.

Maybe a lid from a beer stein?

I saw a plate on a train engine that looked similar. It was found in a depot area so it could be a train part or a fixture off a really old car. Ive looked at hundreds of pics and nothing so far. The Fisher was a good lead I thought maybe an old fleetwood part even some of the steam cars looked promising.
