Brass hanger or hook??

I found this near a historic cemetery in a yard about 200 feet from where Samuel Gorton’s home site was. Not sure what it could of been used for or if it’s even that old. There’s no marking anywhere on it that I can see. Any help is appreciated!

Thanks Benz, I was thinking horse related but was hoping it was a sword hanger or something like that lol!
