I found this in creek where I have found 18th century relics so it could be from any time from the 18th through the 21st century. It's 1.5 inches in diameter and is pretty thick and heavy.

On the inside are three stamped marks. One is a capital A; another is the female symbol (a cross with a circle over it); and I can't make out the third one.

Any ideas?

Definitely part of a weight system...

The "A" signifies avoirdupois and the "1" probably indicates 16 oz. The other symbol is verification mark - Age late 18thC early 19thC.

Thanks! That is the same time period as other relics I have found at that site.
