Brass disk

Hi T-netters,
I found this brass disk at an 1820's farm I've been hunting. It has two attachment marks on the back where a loop or pin had been attached. I can't see any other marks on it other than scratches from being in the ground. Any ideas?

At 2 in. I would say a horse bridle button. HH
