I found this stamped brass item this weekend. It is about 2" x 2". It was found at an 1800s home site that has yielded all sorts of items from the CW onward. It has two tabs on the reverse that held it to something. It says "PATENT ENDS" on it. One of the figures looks like he is playing a flute.

Any assistance with an ID is most appreciated.

I think it was miss stamped, or the P is worn off. It should read Patent PENDS ? Tony
