I found this today at a civil war site, to me it looks like an eagle claw and my first thought was something for a flag, any ideas?

Looks like it would have had a round piece of whatever in side the claw. Might have been a wand like Merlin used:thumbsup: Cool find!

Yup, ball and claw legs were used on all kinds of furniture.
