Brass clasp/hair clip/brooch?

Need some help ID'ing the brass clasp in the middle. You can see where I nicked it with the shovel! Seems to be brass. Found 1 small button, flat button and perhaps a lock keyhole cover in the same area.

Virginia area with known settlements dating to early 1700s. Thanks for your input.
