Found at an old farm 1920's -1940s era... made of brass with no markings. There appears to be "wrench marks" on the top. Any ideas?? IMG_20170522_214502.jpgIMG_20170522_214512.jpgIMG_20170522_214526.jpgIMG_20170522_214532.jpg

It is the valve out of a keg /barrel tap or water jug.

I think it is a valve. But its just the valve, not an entire barrel tap. Its a valve for some kind of liquid. I also think it has a very slight taper.

Barrel tap makes sense. I would be happier thinking that it was for a large whiskey barrel. ..that is still hidden closeby.

..ain't that what I said? :hello:

I cant remember what you first posted before you editted but i thought it needed further explanation sorry. Maybe I misread it. I dunno. I dont think i always get to read the latest editing unless I refresh.. I edited myself its a bad habit of mine to correct spelling errors or to try to rephrase my comments. Either way its all good and I thought it was obvious that you made the ID. Sorry if it looked otherwise. Good ID Creskol.

All is good .. I was just having fun with "4x4x4" .. Just for clarification I just added the word "barrel" to my original post. I think 4X quoted my original before the edit.

Not a car part as far as I know.

Does look like part of a petcock (all one word) though.
