brass bracelet?

I dug this today out of my yard behind my house. I do think it is a decorative bracelet. Please let me know what you think it is and maybe an age all I did was run water over it to clean the dirt off. Thanks and HH

Very well could be a bracelet...
also could be a decorative band that was around the neck of a vase.
No idea on age though...

I don't know it kinda has me baffled I had my wife try and put it on her wrist and it fit. I thought about running it with electrolysis to clean it up either way interesting. Hopefully we all can figure it out thanks.

My 2 cents: see how the top and bottom edges are different? I think that would rule out something freestanding, like a bracelet or napkin ring, they would have edges of the same thickness. I think Outdoorfunblonde is on the right track with a vase, or bottle decoration/protection. If this was on the very bottom of a bottle, carafe, cruet, vase, etc. the thicker edge would make sense, help prevent breaking.

I ran more water over it just getting more dirt off and I found the seam mark and a small hole. It does measure 2.5 inches in diameter and 1 inch high and I found it about 8 inches down if any of that helps. I just haven't seen anything like it but I don't know much. Thanks

With the hole it may have screwed onto a wood post or decretive post for a bed? Neat find, but not sure.
