Hmm, apparently has left handed (reversed) threads. Maybe part of a worm gear set-up?

That's not a normal bolt thread. I would also go with worm gear for a leveling device.

It does look like an Acme thread and it could be a leveling screw like others have said, I found this leveling screw from a cannon online.p11.webp

It also could be out of a large gate valve, any irrigation going on nearby ?
