I found this brass object while hunting a Union camp in Vicksburg today. It was bent up and I've done my best to straighten it out.

This piece may or may not be from the civil war. Need some help in identitying. It has four distinct flared edges. Each one has a word or phrase on it.

The last one is undecipherable
The back of the piece has two attachment devices and a stud.
