Hello folks new here to this world. I have always been interested for years but never broke down and bought a piece of
equipment. Well.. my loving sweety did for my birthday! I am the proud owner of a new bounty hunter platinum. seems like a good unit.
If any of you have ANY tips at all on running this thing please inform me. I have read many reviews ..most of them great. I have about 4 hours on it now and seems like it has no rhyme or reason. I am sure its me.. although I have read the book multiple times..i would appreciate
some experienced advise! Thanks all and looking forward to sharing my FINDS!

Hello and welcome.

Welcome aboard from the great state of Pennsylvania (USA).

You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forums: Select Your Area.... and selecting your state for information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

As far as your new puppy - take a look at: Forum > Metal Detecting Forum > Brands > Bounty Hunter

Welcome! I don't recognize that model but then, I never was a Bounty Hunter fan, and haven't kept up on all their models. Good Luck!

Welcome to the forum. Practice with your detector by placing coins on the surface in your yard. Swing the detector over each coin, noting the sound and ID on the screen.then practice pinpointing over each coin. For the first few hunts, dig everything above iron. You will learn your detector in no time.
