Braided gold mesh band?

Is it gold? What is it from? Measures approximately 4x0.5". No markings but has a design in one side of the silver part. Color is not great in photo but uts goldish in color.

You're asking us to perform a metallurgical test across the internet? If you want to know what it is, you need to have it tested. Acid test kits are cheap.

Likely woven brass mesh circa 1970's (?).


I had cufflinks with this stuff attached when I was in highschool in the late 70's.


I think my mother had a similar watchband about the same era.

That seems right. Correct size and shape for a fob.

Look closely at it if its gold or gold filled it should have a makers mark on it it would be very small Welcome to tnet Tommy
