Help!
I include here three pics. The first to consider is the long brass pc. It has the name "Maron" in the center. I found the pcs. in the same hole and glued them together for display.
I figured, It's a bracelet ..
Later I found the second piece. It has Darby on one side and Baltimore on the other. It was in the hole just as you see it here. Bent in half with a space of about 1/4" between the two sides. If you flattened it out, it would look just like the Maron bracelet. But the names would not be centered and it seems it would not make a very appealing bracelet.
That has me stumped a little. It seems pretty thin brass to be a money clip. Any ideas ? Surely someone has seen something like this before, since I found two in the same town in a season of hunting.
Jewelry is pretty hard to research by pictures alone, and if you are not calling it the right thing, you will not find the info you seek.

BTW, I could not find the Darby Co. online.

Thanks all.

The Darby Manufacturing Company, Baltimore appears to have been a bottling company. I see Baltimore tax records from the 1890's listing them. Your item may have been some type of employee gifts or souvenirs perhaps.

I believe that they were a candy company as far back as the 1880 time period when it was a partnership between a "Tauty and Darby". By around 1900 Darby had struck out on its own as "Darby Manufacturing Co".By 1910 It is then listed as "Darby Candy Company".I doubt that it is a bracelet, unless they offered one monogrammed with a box of chocolates on Valentines Day or some day similar.

Plug N Play is correct. Candy tongs. These were included in boxes of chocolates around the turn of the 20th C. The tongs kept young ladies form getting melted chocolate on thier white gloves.

There is a thread on T-net from a few years ago that talks all about these. Coo find.

Well, based on the posts that follow this, that makes perfect sense. Candy tongs for a candy company.. I will correct my notes and records. That's fantastic! Thanks, I love this stuff.

Great research. It's funny the things that were common just a generation or two before, and we have no idea of the everyday uses until the
research uncovers it. This is one of the biggest reasons I hunt. I love the acts of discovery. First, to find the property, find the nice folks that give us permission, find the hotspots on the property, find the treasure, and then finding out what it is. Every part of it is just too cool and fulfilling.
Now, I can list them properly in my records. Villagenut found that Darby was a candy company, so this it definetly "SOLVED" great job all. (now I'll go see if I can find a "Maron" candy connection or if that was just a personalized set.

I'm liking this place more and more.
