Bracelet like thing?

Found this today and i haven't got any idea, looks like it would wrap around the wrist? lots of activity in 1800s in the area.

I found a chain very similar to yours in St. Mary's, ON a few years ago.
I posted it here on Tnet and told that it may be part of a horse martingale or a bit chain.

This one is obviously different then your find, but you get the idea.
