Well this time it was a bracelet I cant find any markings on it how can I tell if its silver it does not stick to a magnet. Thanks in advance. Tommy I think its a Bracelet??

Nice find! Looks like a bracelet. Curious to know if it's silver.

Take it your local pawn or jewelry store and get it tested. The color looks a lot like german or nickel silver to me which has no silver in it but it could just be the lighting and you should get it tested. If it was made by a student silver worker and not made for sale it would not need to be marked sterling or need to be hallmarked.

It's hard to tell from your pics. I know silver when I dig it, but pics can be deceiving. It looks like it could be sterling, but you will need to test it. Acid test (with a hard rub) is the best way. You can do a mustard test but it will still stain a plated item.

Big objects go deeper and the small one stay in the surface in the woods!
