SORRY, should say Boxes 2 and 3 in the books!
My newbie luck only lasted one box. 7 40%ers in the first box and the realization that won't happen every time helped ease the pain of two straight skunks. I know there will be many more to come, but that doesn't mean I have to like it!
Box two had a few "gold" toned clad Kennedys.
Sorry, I know the pic is awful. The top 4 have some gold toning that I'm guessing was done outside the mint. Someone also punched the heck out of the bottom Kennedy.
That's nothing compared to a couple I pulled out of box number 3 just to show you here. I was finding quite a few coins marked with black marker so I didn't have much hope the box would be good. I didn't expect to find out someone put two holes in Kennedy!
There were no NIFCs, none of the errors (that I saw) that I'm looking for and no silver. These were truly awful boxes.
That won't stop me. I've cashed in part of it and I'm picking up a box today!
And I found a 1962 Rosie in my change! Things are going to get better today!
Happy hunting everyone.
