These are great...nothing to cook...Great for the neighbors at Christmas...beats cookies or the dreaded fruitcake :)

1 pkg semi-sweet chocolate pieces
3 TBSP Corn Syrup
1/3 cup Bourbon (don't over-booze or they won't hold together) I use Jim Beam
1/2 cup sugar
1 1/4 cup crushed vanilla wafers
1 cup finely chopped pecans or walnuts
Sugar or chocolate sprinkles ( I prefer sugar)

Melt choco chips ...
Blend in corn syrup & Bourbon...
Stir in sugar, vanilla wafer crumbs & nuts...
Blend...
Roll in small balls...
Roll in sugar ( or sprinkles) and place in single layer on cookie sheet...
Cover and refridgerate for several hours...

I store Bourbon Balls in airtight containers in the fridge until I gift bag them up for delivery.

I make millions of these things every year!

MAde these for the company party and they just disappeared.
Even the ever-dieting crowd seemed unable to resist.
Thanks Ashleen, went over great and were easy to make.

Dig,
Aren't they great? So easy (unless u count the messy hands)
I have some die hard anti-alcohol people who look for them every year !
I've got 5 batches done, and 5 to go :)

I just finished with my batch...I thought it was going to be a disaster. Had all of the right ingredients least I thought I did...the bottle of Jim Beam as I got ready to measure out the 1/3 cup, turned out to be homemade strawberry wine. The chocolate is melting in the pot, call my neighbor (they're not home) he told me to just go to the house and get a bottle. Head on over there without my glasses and all I could find was JW Scottish whiskey.

You don't state how really small is small, mine start out as meatball size, then to Swedish meatball size, then to marble size. ;D

Let's put it this way, they're good. Hic! Hic! ;D ;D ;D

Thanks, Ashleen

okay....here's what ya do, girl ;)
consider this your practice run.
Sleep tonite's batch off....start fresh tomorrow ;D
Then tomorrow......AFTER YOU BUY THE JIM BEAM......

Forget about the pot on the stove. easier.....
Get your biggest microwavable bowl, dump choco in that. when melted let it cool couple/three minutes,,,,then add the rest of recipe. ...size? hahaha......whatever! mine tend to start out small , but get bigger+bigger as I just want to be done....they're taking over

:-\ :-\ :-\ :-\ :-\
and we'll need a report on your progress ::)

Warsaw,
I've used rum before; my son prefers it. But, the old man insists on the JB ::)
