Bounty Hunter's "Fast Tracker" Model.....

I picked one of these up about 6 months back. Living in Florida it does great at the beaches! Problem is, in regular mineralized ground (even w/ sensitivity turned way down) it gives alot of false signals. It also seems to sound off on small roots often. I can't count the number of times I've been digging on a "signal", expanding my hole width, and still coming up with nothing!! What gives with this thing Anyone who has used one and can offer helpful tips etc. I'd love to hear from....

I have a fast tracker too. And I had that problem.
Im sure what makes the metal detector give us those false signals is that the sensitivity is very high, and as I read in another metal detector instructions, mobile phone waves and electrical laying can cause the detector get confused.
