Bounty Hunter Tracker IV (Just purchased)

I personally think Bounty Hunter Machines are great! I own a Time Ranger and my buddy owns a Land Ranger and we both love them. I hear the Tracker IV is good too. There is a Metal Detector review portion of this forum in which there is reviews of the Track IV. Again I have had great results with my bounty hunter. I have noticed that most serious detectorists tend to frown upon the bounty hunter brand and I do not understand why. I have become quite serious about detecting and I love my bounty hunter.

Thanks for the reply mate.

What Iowahunter said. I've always thought BH got a bad rap. I have a Land Ranger and it has all the bells and whistles of the higher priced detectors. It has found gold and silver for me too! Monty

Hello Gang,

I have used a BH Tracker IV with an eight inch coil for about three years now. After my initial day of practicing in the yard and reading the manual, i have had great service out of it.

If i were out nugget hunting i would buy a higher end machine.
But for all around use the BH is fine.

It may not discriminate as good as a $700.00 machine but i dig every target anyway.

I paid $120.00 for it and i have more than tripled that in finds, so i guess i have nothing in it.

Good Luck,

Nice one thanks.!

Correct me if I'm wrong but isn't the Tracker IV the same machine as the BH Pioneer 101 sold by Walmart?

One of the reasons some of us are down on the BH is because of the prices. They work fine and with proper care will last awhile too. I find the other manufactures WON"T offer their detectors for sale in most stores but rely on dealers and not some kid at Wal-Mart to sell them. Also, prices are fixed by the manufactures and nobody can sell them below a set amount or lose the ability to offer them. Ever wonder why you don't see Whites or others at Radio Shack or Sears? Even Cabela's can't offer them, only Bounty Hunter which places no restriction. Just my two cents........
