Is it possible to replace the speaker with a head phones jack in this model?

I thought I would ask before I cracked it open.

I don't see why not. You should be able to wire that in without a need to take out the speaker. You could disconnect the speaker, or you could wire it in at the new headphone jack using a configuration that cuts the speaker power when the headphones jack is plugged in. But you'll only get mono sound, not stereo.
