hi,
i recently bought a scout off ebay,and i dont even see it listed as a model on there web site, so im sure its probally the bottem end,,my question is, am i going to detect gold, if its there, with this detector?
so far i have been impressed with how deep ive been able to detect stuff,,i dug a cresent wrench from about 4 inches at the beach, and am using it now after it got cleaned from rust etc.,,,some feedback from other scout users would be appreciated,,also the owners manual was pretty much usless, so im kinda flyin from the seat of my pants, and trying to learn from this site,,which is great by the way

Hi dobie,

I don't know about the BH Scout, but found out from the company that BH detectors sold through outlet stores are NOT listed on the BH home page. At least this was the case with my BH Pioneer 505, via Wal*Mart. I don't know whether the Scout is "low line", but if it works, great!

I'm also new at this, and know your "seat of the pants" feeling; the info available via TN is simply amazing!
