I have one.I haven't used it for a while,since I upgraded a notch to the Discovery 3300.The Lone Star paid for itself in less than a year though.The wife uses it now.It still works fine.A lot of people don't like BH's,I don't know why.They're cheap and they work.What do you use?

Thanks for the input. I'll let my buddy know.
I personally use an older 1999 model Tesoro Cutlass Umax model. Even as a basic machine, it seems to do just fine.

well i got a lonestar and it works great ive found coins and relics with it.so i recommend it
 

Lonestar was the first I owned. I liked it.........it was simple to use, and great as a detector to learn on. I would recomend it to anyone.
