Just wanted to see what you guys thought about a recent purchase I made. (And yes I know I paid more than face value for these coins) but I got 1 roll of merc dimes (15 of which rivaled uncirculated condition) and 3 sitting liberty quarters. I got all of them for 100 dollars. The melt value of the coins are only 95 dollars but I think I got a great deal, what do you all think?

Ill post pictures if you all would like

You did ok that's not bad.

Thanks, wasn't sure if I was just crazy for thinking thats a good deal. Haha

I think that 5 dollars over spot for 4oz is a great deal! Especially since they are mercs and sanding liberties!

Here's the sitting libertys

Actually, melt value is over $100. $113.26 as I type this. I think 88% of spot is a very fair deal for both of you.

Aah wow, guess that shows your superior math skills. Haha idk what I was thinking. :P

Just download the Conflation app...you can punch in how many coins you have of each denomination and it gives you the current value based on live spot prices...I use it all the time when I am buying junk silver from people so I get the best possible deal!

Yeah my brain can make 30 some dollar mistakes sometimes, its probably best for me to get that app!

I love this app

We all think you made out well on the deal, but the real question is how do you think you did? That is the most important thing.

Thanks all! I think I did great because I am a collector before an investor but I wanted to know if you all thought it was also a good investment. Also idk what good dates for the standing liberty quarters are but what I got where 1926, 1928, 1929 all from Philly
