I'd like to see a photo of the back.


This is an interesting item... The style of oval on the front is similar to the flat, one-piece eagle militia buttons of the 1830s... The design is similar around the oval to the set of "dots" of graduated sizes on the three cent silver coin.


I don't know what to think of this one yet. I'd like to see a photo of the back first.

ok i looked at the button and cleaned it up a bit more
it is a dropped winged eagle looking left with a shield in front
the shield has a "A" in the middle
there are some stars around the eagle
the back is concaved no shank (just a spot were shank was)
still cant get a good pic of it sorry
thats it for now
