As I was detecting next to an old barn I noticed that a part of the stone foundation had a hole in it. I knelt down, looked in, and to my surprise I saw old glass! Ran back to the relic rover and dawned my Petzle head lamp that I have owned since my time in Mosul, Iraq back in 2004 "Great Headlamps." Got back to the hole in the foundation and crawled in to find over 20 late 1800's to early 1900's glass bottles!!! Most of them have embossed writing, and a few of them still had the original corks, lol. While collecting the glass I also found an old late 1800's German religious token as well as a ST.Louis 1904 charm. When it was all said and done, I was cold, muddy, wet, and could not have been happier!

thanks.

Great finds! I love the color of the milk of magnesia bottle. Clean it good and display it on a window sill. -Garbageman

might be more, older bottles buried under there. Nice finds

I'm mostly a bottle guy and they are some great bottles, but that religious charm is KILLER! Very nice finds.

is that Kerr jar brown or just dirty....if its brown....$$$
whats the beer can situation at the dump....there is a lot of money in those..even if brown and rusty (they can be cleaned to some extent) - cool stuff!

No its clear.

The Prussian Blue bottles always look special BUT in your case ALL the bottles look especially awesome! What a terrific spot on your part as not everyone is going to take a look in 'just a hole'! Petzl headlamps are The Best, the only brand I buy now for backpacking.

Well, quite an adventure So Far, now to find out the going price for your 'old glass', that will add a whole new dimension to your find not to mention of course the significance of the other items you pulled out of there. Have Fun!....................63bkpkr
