As I was detecting next to an old barn I noticed that a part of the stone foundation had a hole in it. I knelt down, looked in, and to my surprise I saw old glass! Ran back to the relic rover and dawned my Petzle head lamp that I have owned since my time in Mosul, Iraq back in 2004 "Great Headlamps." Got back to the hole in the foundation and crawled in to find over 20 late 1800's to early 1900's glass bottles!!! Most of them have embossed writing, and a few of them still had the original corks, lol. While collecting the glass I also found an old late 1800's German religious token as well as a ST.Louis 1904 charm. When it was all said and done, I was cold, muddy, wet, and could not have been happier!
