I walked a creek today in search of bottles. I had found a few here in the past. There were too many leaves on the ground to see any arrowheads. The creek was dry and it was like walking down a road.
I did manage to find one bottle. A whiskey bottle that had a cork. It has the federal “do not refill” marking so it is newer than 1934. Maybe 50-60s?? I’d bet it was emptied by some coon hunters. This area was famous for coons. The bottle is covered with silt and is soaking. I walked in exactly 1/2 mile until I hit the property line. It was a nice day to be out.
