Hunted my bottle dump today with friend and fellow T-net user Ryan M. I know I didn't pull up anything rare or even anything older than the 1920's but I think I did pretty well for my first bottle hunt. Pulled out some general purpose bottles, a food jar, a 1 pint flask, a perfume bottle with screw top pump, an ABBOTT milk bottle, a brown bleach? bottle, a few small bottles, a broken Orange Crush bottle, 2 glass stoppers (Royal Crystal), 1 porcelain stopper (Nicholas Di Lemmo - Philadelphia), a Mason jar lid (Genuine Boyd), 2 spoons (1 is WM Rogers), and the broken front to a bottle with the site's name on it! Everything should date to the 20s and 30s based on particular items/clues found at the site.

Cool bottles. I really like that big brown (Clorox?) bottle. That tall one next to it is really cool too. I sure wish I could locate an older bottle pit for some digging. That would be a lot of fun.

Hello, The glass stoppers in your picture look like old house electric fuses that I have found in dumps. Usually they had a thin sheet of brass threads to attach them in the fuse boxe, but maybe they fell off. Nice Finds :icon_thumright: God Bless :icon_sunny: Paul :coffee2:

Thanks for the info. I looked it up and yes, they are Royal Crystal Fuses.

BUSS Fuses were of the same design. I used to see them in older, early 1900s homes.

Oh man you like bottles This site we hunted on sunday went in woods there was a hill side maybe 30+ yards long full of old bottles cans old oil cans but mostly glass. We were walking over and all we could here was crunch crunch. Dug done a foot and still was glass bottles and items. I dont know much about bottles but last 3 sites ive hunted ran across bottle dumps in woods. maybe we can hit them and i can learn a thing or 2 about bottles.. HH Mark

keep an eye out for where they dumped their coal ash, thats where you'll also find alot of older bottles
