Not sure what i did but if you click on it a few times it opens big enought to see.

Amazing button! I have found A's, I's, and C's, but never a D, also never that old as I live in Idaho. Congratulations on a great find.

Cool, nice find

That is quite a find right there!

Sweet find, congrats! :occasion14:

Very nice button to find! I've never heard of this button... but I'm a little new to the button game as only recently I found a mass militia button. You know it makes me wonder if the term "goons" is a shortened version of dragoons? Anyway that is an awesome find. Any idea of it's history or rough date on it?

Gman, this appears to have real potential. There was a posting on here a couple of months ago about a potential volunteer unit of Loyalist Dragoons (basically cavalry) or mounted infantry. I remember that Crusader had some info on that. Perhaps you could show us a good photo of the back?

That's a great looking button, also would like to see the reverse, congrats on the save

That's a killer button. Can you post a pic of the back?

So we're not talking Loyalist Dragoons but Continental troops or early US Cavalry?

Awesome button! Congrats! :icon_thumleft: I cropped the pic so people could really see it.

ToastedWheatie thanks for the first pic with the article. that is a exact match front and back.
Thanks Whyme for cropping the pic. and thanks to all for the likes and comments.
I'm about 30 miles north of Boston but find very little Military related paraphernalia around here..
There were very limited troop movement here.

Amazing button in great shape! Congrats!
