Found this boot pistol saturday, solid brass, nice green patina, brushed off one side and saw serial number, cool, brushed off the top and saw Richland Arms Co., never heard of it but figured lots of companies made these small guns, brushed off the other side and saw Cal. 49, thought that was unusual for the caliber to be on it, saw more writing and said "Black Powder Only", that burst my bubble big time. :BangHead: Richland Arms co never made guns, was an importer of reproductions from 1960-1983. Win some, lose some. Did find a 1935 mercury dime so i didnt get skunked

Still a very cool find. Never found a real gun. Congrats.

Very nice find! Could you possibly take a comparison photo to an item of similar size?

You have to admit, it's still a pretty cool find! Nice dig!

Yep, that's definitely a keeper. Nice color on it too.

would still make my day, but i fully understand the let down. still cool find

That is a very cool find! Thanks for sharing it with us

Repro or not, still a great find! Looks to be based on the Manhattan Arms screw barrel boot pistol. Being an all bronze frame and barrel it'd be a good candidate to restore if you wanted to.

Great finds!
