After the Tidewater Coin and Relic Club hunt committee met for preparations of the upcoming 29th annual open hunt, Kelley and I decided to head out to our new spot where the second Cob was found. She posted hers last week and now I'm posting mine!!!

That's a great old cob. Looks like it was a larger denomination cut down from many years of trade. I bet that coin has some stories.

Big congrats. I just sat there cursing at my first cob as it sat in the hole.

It's a clipped Potosi Bolivia 1 Real. Very cool!!
Likely 17th - early 18th century. Golden age of piracy loot right there!

its a 1675 The one I found near this one is a 1663
