Books, old magazines, maps and charts.

Hello,

I have a large collection of books, rare books, magazines, maps, charts, etc. I really hate to sell any of my research stuff but I want to buy some books that I need and the way things are right now I figure I could recycle…. Sell some and buy some. I was going to put them in ebay or craiglist but I rather give my Tnet family first option. They all are different topics and locations so I will do several packages. I will be very reasonable with the price compared to what I paid for them. Please send me a PM if you are interested in any of them…

The fist package is a small collection of 21 treasure hunting magazines 14 are from the 70’s (I guess collector items) the oldest one being from 72, 73, (3) 74 and so on, these are 30 some years old going into 40. 4 from the 90’s and 3 from 2003. I bought them right here on Tnet a few years ago, I believe I paid $100.00 for them. I will be willing to sell for $80.00 OBO + shipping

Second package was my Florida beach detecting information kit. All the way from Key West to Cape Canaveral.

This includes;

Book “Famous Shipwreck of the Florida keys” by Bob Weller
Booklet “1733 Spanish Galleon trail”
Book “ Key Guide to the Florida Keys” (All you would want to know about the Keys is in this book) (Very Good book)
Book “Visual Cruising Guide” (This thing has 50 pages cover in plastic (water resistant) on each page it has a nautical chart it covers from Miami all the way to Key West) it still has the sticker price 29.95
Islamorada Chart (still has its sticker price 19.99
A 1889 Key west map (very interesting)
Booklet “25 best –kept secrets to finding treasure”
Book “A True Revelation of That which lately Happened” to the great Spanish fleet by Ernie Richards signed by him on page 3
Book “The Beach Bank” good information of the east coast beaches.
Book “Hurricane Treasure” 1715 beach sites.

I paid a bit over $100.00 for all of it. I guess $65.00 OBO would be a fair price + shipping

The Book “Shipwrecks in Puerto Rico’s History” By Walter Cardona Bonnet 1989 (well known archival investigator)
This is a great book sometimes is hard to find and when you do find it sells for 125.00 or more so I will be willing to sell for $80.00 OBO + shipping

The Book “Shipwrecks in Puerto Rico’s History” By Walter Cardona Bonnet 1989 (well known archival investigator)
This is a great book sometimes is hard to find and when you do find it sells for 125.00 or more so I will be willing to sell for $80.00 OBO + shipping

Yes I know..I saw it….Obviously some one that doesn’t know what they have in their hands…They only have two, a new one for $15.00 and a used one for 9.99….I f I was you I would buy both of them and hold on to them. The regular price is $125.00. Any one who knows about this book knows its real value. Sometimes this book is very hard to find, this was not a top seller but the author is a very good researcher who has gone every year to the archives in Spain for the last 20 years. I know Walter since I was 8 years old and I am 42 now. This book may not be very famous but every single word of information is fist hand direct from the archives. I have no problem I will wait until those are sold.....

This Cardona's book has more valuable information about shipwreck in Puerto Rico than Bob Marx's book-"Shipwrecks in the America". It's more detailed. Good luck selling your books. I will be next week in Puerto Rico metal detecting underwater at SJ. Stay tune in "Beach & Shallow Water" for the pics, after the 29th.

I just go with Hookaj undewater 12' max. to pick up jewelry. There is a shipwreck in Naguabo beach that you can see it from Google map.

Do you know of some shipwreck in Aguadilla? Somebody told me that saw some old silver spoon found in shallow water close to the beach.

There are wreck all over the Island...where are you going to be? Aguadilla is all the way on the other side of the Island from San Juan....

There are wreck all over the Island...where are you going to be? Aguadilla is all the way on the other side of the Island from San Juan....

I just like to know about shipwreck information over Aguadilla and western of Puerto Rico.

Hello All,
Nancy and Lou will be spending a few months in a small house
located at the very end of Bario Faro on the beach in
Guayanila, PR. There are tales of wrecks and treasure
1000 feet out front. We will certainly go snorkling in
the area. Can anyone verify the rumors? Perhaps some clues
as to what to look for would be helpful. Would you suggest
a metal detector and if so what kind?
